on Sunday our last fun day...

I've been meaning to tell you all about our last day in Snoqualmie. It was very eventful and loads of fun! We woke up early in the morning and heading up the stairs to where the spa is located. During our wait for our spa appointments we were lead into the soaking baths. We decided not to soak before our treatment because first of all we didn't feel like being all wet when they take us in and secondly I was pretty much naked under my robe ;) Even so the room was very calming. 

After a short wait two massage therapist ladies came and took us to a dimly lit room with a crackling fire going and soft music. I was in love.

Our tables were side by side. The ladies said we could talk to each other as much as we wanted but both Bobby and I have never been so quiet. I was amazed. We had 50 minutes of full body massages. My favorite was when my hands were massaged, mainly because I use my hands all day when I work and getting them deeply massaged like that was heavenly. She even did some hot stones all over my body. All in all it was a great experience. 

Afterwards we got dressed and heading down to the Dinning Room to have breakfast. We were seated close to the windows with the view of the Falls. Beautiful. The breakfast menu was large and both Bobby and I went for the simplest out of it all . Bobby got an extreme Omelet with about everything in it, and I got Egg's Benedict. 

In the end I thought I was going to have to be rolled out of the restaurant! Also, they had the best tea ever. I cannot describe how delicious it was. Pear Caramel. It was such an interesting combo that I had to order it and it came out in a little pot with the loose leaf steaming inside. I recommended it to another couple sitting across from us, it was that good! 

Even though after that kind of breakfast I could of easily went back to our room to take a nice big 'ol nap but no way I had other plans. When we arrived on Friday one of the valet boys gave us a brochure full of hiking trails and raved about a few for us to try. We picked an intermediate trail-- Rattlesnake Ledge.

 Rattlesnake Ledge being a 4 mile hike round trip with a elevation gain of 1,100. Piece of cake. Hardly. We were huffin' and a puffin' and I think I must have asked half a dozen people coming down the trail if we were getting close to the top. A few I think even laughed in my face.

But WE MADE IT! And boy did it feel good :) Bobby was a little nervous with the height but I was having fun...

You see his nervous pose. I swear he was feeling he was going to fall off the cliff :) Ha!

It was a fun accomplishment and I like to think of it as the first one of us being husband and wife :) Aweeee cute!

We made a promise to each other that next time we will go to the very top which is another 10 miles on top of what we had already done! Next time it will be an all day thing and I'm already looking forward to it :D

on my bridal shower...

We're finally back to my dad's house after such a beautiful time and now that the big day is over I can share little glimpses of the past few days... 

Julee hosted a lovely little shower last Thursday with a group of gals that mean the most to me here in Seattle. They are the gang of girls that I worked with when I was younger at Great Harvest, the group that became a family to me. 

Julee & Tanya really out did themselves. Julee's house was decorated with lots of purple colored things. So much fun!

The main feature of the night was the purple mashed potatoes! Ha. I was cracking up when I laid eyes on this. SO perfect. And so hard to find. The girls told me that they had the hardest time finding it anywhere and after calling around finally found some down by Pike Place. Tanya scooting on down and picked up a bundle.

They were a hit and especially with the huge variety of cool toppings. I think I just about put all them on my mashed :) 

Julee tried a new recipe that she picked up from good 'ol Paula Deen. Yummy purple coleslaw. It was delcious. My favorite part of it was that it wasn't mayo based but instead the base was pepper jelly. How fun is that?!

All the girls got us some great gifts. Some gift cards to Amazon and Lisa got us a great sign to hang up at home reading "Happily Ever After". I cannot wait to display that lovie at home.

Bobby's mom & sisters got us a box full of engraved Champagne flutes for toasting and for all the guest to take home for mementos. 

Julee got me the coolest gift by far. Just so totally me! A GLEE paper weight :) You can tell by my face how excited I was after unwrapping this gem. Speaking of Glee...Season finale on Tuesday. Get ready Julee & Glen!

Once again thank you to Julee & Glen and all the girls for getting together and creating more lovely memories for me to remember for the rest of my days to come.

on Salish & Snoqualmie...

Salish sat proudly right on top of the falls. It was stunning inside and out. Once stepping in the front doors you were greeted by a lovely fire and warm smiles. I have never been to a place were the doors were opened for me and cars brought to my feet. Our room was on the third floor which was the main floor.

As soon as we walked in I was brought to giggles after seeing all the rose peddles on the bed and an envelope with "The Schuler Party" written on the front. It was so romantic I wanted to die! The envelope held a cute little card welcoming us to Salish lodge and the staff's signature all around. It was probably the nicest gesture that I've ever received. 

Yes, I took a picture of our toilet paper that was folded neatly. 

We had a sliding window that could be opened or closed to see into the living room!

My very first beverage inside our room was a Jones soda that they had in fridge! Check out the falls on the label. I kept it for a keepsake.

After making ourselves comfortable in the room we ventured off to see the Falls and roam around the grounds. 

Beautiful. I still can't believe I got married here!! 

We unfortunately couldn't take the trails downs to the bottom of the Falls due to construction being done. Re-opening will take place in 2013. Future anniversary planning for that date :) Hmmmm. I think so!!

on a ceremony...

Our ceremony was perfect. The weather held up which was the main concern. I loved how spontaneous it was, how much love we were surrounded by and how everything was so us! It wasn't perfect yet it turned out exactly how I wanted and more. It went by in a blur yet the day was filled with so much happiness that I couldn't even think to of had it any other way. Sebastian was a ring bearer and brought up the cute little nest with our rings. I couldn't help but laugh at how cute he was truckin' up the isle runner to hand the nest to me. I am so happy he was here to share this day with us.

on our dinner...

Right after the ceremony we took some finishing pictures and headed right up to the Attic in Salish. The Attic is known for being a laid back restaurant and is up on the highest floor in the lodge. The best part is that the it also has the best view of the Falls inside the lodge as well :) We chose to have dinner at the Attic instead of the more upscale & fancy restaurant downstairs mainly because the menu was more our style and also the prices were a little more reasonable. Not only that the vibe is so much more fun!

Bobby and I had our own little table to share and everyone else sat around us. Our party had our own little area of the restaurant to enjoy. It was really nice because even though the place was busy with people it really did feel like we had a little spot light shinning on us. It was special! 

Doesn't matter even on one of the biggest day of my life, being a mommy always comes first. My worn out tired little boy slept peacefully in the loaded restaurant in my arms for a while. And even though my salmon soup that I picked for dinner cooled down it didn't bother me at all as long as I got to hold that little boy in my arms. I love him so much and was so happy. I cannot wait to show him all the pictures of him running around the isle runner being a goofball. Such great memories to have!

Our cake turned out amazing, seriously stunning! The buttermilk cake and cream cheese filling was divine. Simple yet had personality. We cut up most of it and handed it out to all our family & friends to take home. Share the love!!!
