on a few good things

Yesterday was Saturday. I had to work. It's a bummer working on the weekends but it's a must every once in a while. Today wasn't too bad since, thank god, the shop was busy and I was on the move all day.
I figured since I was working that Bobby and Sebastian would meet me at work and we would find something to do (it's nice to work in a mall at times). So decided we would check out Krazy City. It's a family fun zone. Best way I can describe it is that it's an up scale Chuckie Cheese geared fowards younger children. It was fun! Sebastian's favorite was the ball pit. He spent most of his time there and eventually browsed around and ended up playing some Skee Ball with me & shot some Hoops with his dad.
Great Fun.

Now today is Sunday. And what a beautiful Sunday it is! I was happy to see the sunshine (after it snowed last night) when I woke up to my little boy talking away. The best part was looking at my clock next to my bed that read 8:30am!!! YES! Sebastian rocks! He is very very good to me :)
Today will just be an errands/shopping day. We will be hitting up Samsclub to buy all our bulk needs, like all paper products and frozen foods. I also buy my meats there too. It's great because I use alot of chicken breast and they have huge packs that last me a long while, I just put the extra in the freezer. So convenient. Then we just end our shopping adventure at Acme (which for everyone on the Westside is also known as Albertsons).
Okay, now that I mentioned Acme I NEED to tell you something I'm very excited about. Granted my verion of "excited" might not be so exciting for you but it is for this lady.
Anyways, Acme is doing an awesome limited time deal where every time you spend ten dollars you have a chance to be earning FREE professional cookware. So every ten dollars you recieve a sticker that you place in a booklet that they give you. Once you hit the 40th sticker you can get the first piece of cookware which is 7.8-inch nonstick frying pan , if you choice too. See at first I was confused because I thought (and thought way wrong) that everytime you hit a maker you get the cookware, but no. If you want to you can cash in your stickers but then you lose all of them to get that one cookware. Does that make sense?? Yeah, so I was a little disappointed at first but then quickly forgot about it since we shop at Acme all the time and didn't think it would be all that hard to collect me some cookware! Now there are one hundred stickers and on the 100th sticker you get a roasted pan with rack. Naturally that's what I want! Why? Because first of all it's valued at $89.99 and second because it's something I don't have and I know I will never really spend the money in getting myself one.
This what my booklet looks like--
I'm pleased to announce that I was able to finally cash my stickers in--

Isn't it a beaut?!?! I know I won't be using it everyday but it's fantastic to know I have it!
Also, the offer will be going up until April 1st so I have plenty of time to earn some more cookware. I am either shooting for the 10.6-inch Square Grill Pan which is 70 stickers or the 9.4-inch Dutch Oven with lid which is 80 stickers...
Gotta love it!

My kitchen is evolving at a steady pace. Thanks to Lori, the mother-inlaw. She was a sweetheart and got me lots of nice things at Christmas time for my kitchen. My two favoirtes are my William-Sonoma mixing bowls and Acuto stainless steal knife!

My bowls are so handy. Three different sizes of bowls plus the mixing bowl with handle is just fab!

You won't even imagine how amazing this knife is. It's made out of stainless steal and cuts every thing like butter! Cutting potatos is a breeze along with meats & veggies! Plus the color is so eye catching and with it's hygienic nonstick surface it's so easy to clean. Makes cooking pleasant.

Well, I think I've about summed up a few good things. Now time to get things done!

"I don't even now what I was running for - I guess I felt like it"

What a day, what a day. Not only was it a crazy day at work but also very intersting at home. I really can't believe how much my little boy is growing & changing. First of all, after his dinner he started rummaging through my pantry and found a box of cake mix. As I was washing dishes he came up to me, tugged on my pants and showed/handed me the box of cake mix. I couldn't help but laugh. THE BOY WANTED SOME CAKE :) So, we had some cake for dessert. He also has this new thing with lotion. Not just any lotion but Momma's lotion. He takes it off of my night stand, hands it to me and shows me his hand. I put a dolop of it onto his palm and he rubs both his hands together. I know! Cute! But then he wants to do it over and over and over again. After the 4th time I had to draw the line. At least his hands are nice and moisturized!

It's a sad day as well since today was the day Mr. JD Salinger died. At 91 though. Not bad. If you don't know who Salinger is then obviously you didn't go to highschool! Catcher in the Rye is definitly in my top ten favorite books. The tale of teenage rebellion caught many peoples attention but also turned heads because of his crud language and pretty blunt sexual remarks. Anyways, bet you anything Catcher in the Rye will be top selling book this week at the book stores.

Well, Vampire Diaries is getting super good. Every episode is getting better every time. I'm not going to get into it but alot was unfolded tonight, which gets me all giddy inside :-P

on some stuff...

26/365
Yes, this is me fresh out of the shower. Sorry I had to do it. It's one of those classic no make-up, hair wet & curly looks, that you will probably never ever see of me again. So, consider yourself lucky my friend :) But I did observe that my eyes are looking mighty green. Hhmm.

Today is the day that I offically made an oath to never iron Bobby's dress/work shirts ever again. I will not lie to you. I suck at it. It's not that I can't do it. It's just that I flat out totally despise it. First of all since I am me which means that I have to have the shirt perfect, even if that means me standing there going back & forth, back & forth until that one crease is out. It literally took me 20 minutes to iron one shirt. That's not normal. Right? Well, I don't care because, like I said, I made an oath. That oath is that I, personally will take all his shirt to the dry cleaners every week just so it will eliminate me having to do it and so I can look at him in the frickin' shirts without wincing. If that makes me lazy or selfish...BITE ME!

I think I want to do a dinner soon. Like in the month of February. Not 100% as to when but I want to do something fun! For instance, beautiful Julee in her blog My Happy Life by the Bay  brought up a cool idea for a get together (she never fails to be creative!)...since she is the bomb and is a finialist in the 44th annual Pillsbury Bakeoff aaaannnnddd now that all the topseceret (well, not so topsecret anymore) reciepes are out including hers, I think it would be neat to do a Plilsbury Potluck. Everyone who attends, picks something of their choice off of the BakeOff page, cooks it up & brings it to share with the rest! I think it would be totally fun and what better than get full off of appetizers. Lets do it!! Keep your calendars free people.

Moving on. So, I came across this...
WHATT! It's coming out March 6th. It kind of looks Anime just from the cover and naturally I'm not too into that sort of thing BUTTT I'm pretty much counting down the days, not to mention I've already pre-ordered it. I don't care what you think. It's Twilight. 'Nough said ;)

Well, that's it for tonight. I'm very proud that I've posted twice in one week considering that I don't have my laptop. Still. And Bobby's laptop does not motivated me what so ever. Can't wait to hear from those Geeks.I'm not sure how much longer I can survive. Blahh.

I'm still here!!

...Yes, I am still here. It's not my fault. I swear. So it turned out my computers power cord was not the problem! One day my new power cord came in the mail and I naturally plugged it right in when I got home from work thinking that my day turned out to be a good one...with my luck still nothing happend. No light showing it's charging, NO sign of life at ALL! Thank god I still have warranty at BestBuy. We took it back and they ended up saying the power supply on the Motherboard is busted. BOO! Now you see, you understand right. I have no computer, although that isn't the total truth since Bobby does have one but it sucks. I WANT MINE BACK! Who knows when I will be getting a call. Those Geeks better hurry it up.

...Saturday sucked balls. I got one of those 24 hour stomach bug thingys. Consisted of throwing up everything that went down my throat, 102 degree fever, abdominal cramps (the worst ever!) and of course a splitting headache. Not fun at all, espically since Bobby had work 7am-7pm. Right now I am just praying that my boys don't catch this nasty stupid bug!

...I am finally feeling caught up with everything since we got back from Seattle.

...My dad told me that the doctor is telling him that he will be needing neck & shoulder surgery. He has been suffering with pains for quite a while now, it's all those construction jobs and carrying heavy beams on his shoulders years ago. Not good. Wondering if I have enough left in me...

...I majorly need to go on a shopping spree. I need clothes. So, it made me extremely happy (after a couple days of pouting and whinning) when Bobby said that next pay day he will be treating me to a new wardrobe. I'm not spoiled...

...very eager to get a couple more tattoos this year as well as piercings ;) I have so many ideas, I just need to buckle down and decide. Talk about hemming and hawing. It will happen though. Trust me.

...realized that I still haven't posted up Project 365 but rest assure once I get my handy dandy lappy back that will be the first on my list.

...I'm feeling like I would like to buy more flowers. Enjoy them. Smell them. Love them.

Thanks for reading. Thanks for being there.

at the moment

Life at the moment:

  • I still have no power cord to my computer. I ordered one off Amazon a couple days ago, but who knows when it is going to get here...

  • Bobby started his new job on Thursday! It will be tough for him at first to get used to the crazy schedule as will Sebastian and I. Just to give you a little feel for what it's like-- He works Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & every other Saturday. For the first two weeks his shift will be Graveyard, so he starts at 7pm and ends at 7am. Then the following two weeks his shift is 7am to 7pm. The days will always be the same. So far he is enjoying it and says that he has a great bunch of people that he works with. However much our lifestyle is sort of jumbled we as a family are going to try the best to adjust and greet the beautiful things that will follow :)

  • Speaking of our schedule Sebastian started his first full day of daycare on Friday. It did start off rocky just because this too was my first day of dropping him off and to be frank it was so HARD! NO it was horrible. To start out with it being new for him to be there at 7:30 in the morning but also being taken out of his Momma's arms was just devasting for him. Not to mention as he was crying crocodile tears in his teachers arms, I too was doing the same as I was hugging myself with my arms. Yes, I was crying-- which I don't do that often but everything to do with Sebastian gets me emotional. I'm just glad that I still had a 15 minute drive to work and was able to pull myself together. After all the drama queen king episode, I called as soon as my morning rush at work ended and was told that he was playing with all the kids and even managed to take his shoe off which made me smile at that point since that totally sounded like something he would do. All in all his day went super for it being the first day and he even took an hour and a half nap!!!!!! Plus painted his first art project :)

  • Finished Book 7 of the Riley Jension Series by Keri Arthur and am now on the last book out until the summer when the 9th book will be released. I am so addicted to this series. I think mostly because the main character is a women-- Riley. Duh. She is half vampire half werewolf and is a memeber of the Directorate of Other Races-- an elite group that regulates all the supernatural races and protects humans. It's crazy because she starts out just being a office assistant then ends up becoming one of the Guardians and fights along side of her twin brother Rhoan. Talk about a love life, this girl gets to have a little taste of both vamp and were. She's one lucky lady.  I'm so excited to see what happens in this next book!

  • I will be having my first ever meeting at work that I have put together! I'm looking forward to getting all that I must say and express to all my employees out & on to the table, plus I made Oatmeal ChocolateChip Cookies for all my girls :) See I'm a pretty rockin' boss!

  • DAYBREAKERS came out yesterday!! I really really really want to see it.

  • Feeling like Bobby and I need a date night. And soon.

Well, hoping I will have a laptop by the begining of the week so I can actually post on a regular basis. First our trip to Seattle put a damper on my blogging and now not having a computer! It's quite frustrating. OHHHHH well.

PS- Only 36 days until Valentine's Day :)

there's always something...

Good morning...it's 6:20am here. UGHHHHH. So, Sebastian some how (don't ask me how) broke my laptops power cord and now my laptop can't charge therefore doesn't work! There is always something. Who knows when I will get the extra time this week to go out and find a new cord. Until then I am going to have to wake up early (like today) and post little bits on Bobby's laptop.

Talk to you soon :)

smells like teen spirit

Guess Who?
via people
Soooooo, who is it? Any guesses?
Her name is Frances Bean Cobain also known as Kurt Cobain & Courtney Love's offspring! I ran into her while I was reading Harpers Bazaar. Don't you think she is a spitting image of her father?! I do! I thought it was interesting reading that she is going to be getting into Broadway and who will be headlining in Evita, Grease & Beauty and the Beast. Pretty funny for being the child of an extreme grunge legand and who's mother is a what Rolling Stone calls 'the most controversial women in the history of rock', and yet she is looking like she is pretty together and genuine. In an interview with People she said "These people are fasinated by me, but I haven't done anything. If you're a big Nirvana fan, a big Hole fan, then I understand why you would want to get to know me, but I am not my parents-- People need to wait until I've done something valid with my life."
C'mon! What 15 year old with crazy well-known acclaimed parents would even remotely think about telling the world that people need to recognize her for her and not just for who her parents are. If that makes any sense. All these other teenagers are famous because of their parents. Lame. I think she is great! And I'm hoping to see miraculous things come from this girl.

Next topic. One that I am very excited about. Introducing Ella's Kitchen. An all organic, all natural baby food, smoothies & snacks.
I found these at Toys'r'us! I am in love. They come in cute little pouches just like in the picture and have tons of neat flavors. Easy for Sebastian to hold and eat, basically a healthy mid-day smoothie of yummy fruits & veggies!
Also...

  • NO added sugar, salt or water.

  • NO preservatives or thickeners.

  • NO GM

  • NO high fructose corn syrup

  • NO dairy, egg or wheat

  • NO lactose or gluten

  • NO lumps or bits and nothing artifical
Just yummy organic food for babies :)
The best part is that Ella's dad Paul Lindley, who live in the UK by the way, was the one that created this awesome goodness with Ella his daughter and son in mind along with all the other kids in the world. How cool is that!
It would be nice to get Ella's Kitchen into the grocery store around here since Toys'r'us is currently the only supplier, until then you will find me there once a week stocking up!

Sebastian got his first train set today! Thanks Tanya :) Since we were limited with what we could take home from Seattle Tanya was a doll and got Sebastian a gift card. So, as I speak Bobby is on the floor setting it up so when Sebastian wakes up and waddles out to the living room he will be greeted with his new Choo-Choo train Aunty Te Te got him :)

Tomorrow we will be spending all day at my in-laws house. Lori- my mum in-law will be making a nice family dinner that is already making my mouth water just thinking about. It will be nice because I haven't seen them since before our trip out to Seattle. Will be a wonderful way to end our week!

hello 2010, i love you already!

Wow, I can't believe it's finally 2010! Let me tell you, it feels GREAT! I have this gut feeling that this year will bring a complete make over for my family and I. Nothing better in starting out this New Year with Bobby getting a promotion!! I KNOW :) My man got a promotion within his company Siemens. He will offically be a programmer/analyst starting on the 7th. Not only that but with this new job comes more money which always is helpful. Now that I am back to work-- and with prominent things happening my way as well in the next few months, I am hoping ultimately we will get to take a couple extra steps in building the things we desire. So, yes congrats to my wonderful man who has worked so hard and who is the best there ever is ♥

The new year will bring many more memories and lots more adventure. Another exciting year to be able to be the best mother I can be and to shape Sebastian into someone that will conquer the many years still ahead of him! I really am thrilled and can't wait to experience what motherhood brings this year.

On that note it's time for my new years resolution. My number one resolution is to relax more and breath. If you know me, you know I am a very on the go kind of person. I have seriously come to realize that I am addicted to being busy. It's weird I know, but I am. I am a great prioritizer, I write lists on top of lists. The more I can get done in the time I have the better. So, again, I've opened up my eyes to the fact that a frantic life is a life half lived and I want to be a little less O.C.D and more at ease not only at home but also at work. There you have it, my resolution. Oh and not to forget to add a little fitness into my everyday life this year. Build some muscle so I can kick some butt this year!!

I would like to finish off today, the first day of 2010 with my very first photo for Project 365-- I will taking a self portrait everyday for the whole year of 2010! ENJOY :)
